A marine survey is designed to inform you of the condition of a yacht or any other sea or river going vessel. There are various levels of survey dependent on whether you are an owner or a potential purchaser and there are different reasons for having one but the most common ones are:

Survey Types Offered

• Full Condition - as the name implies, this deals with the vessel in its entirety.

• Insurance - mainly used for insurance purposes which adds the main domestic systems to the structural survey.

• Structural - dealing with all the main structure, stern gear and machinery.

• Limited Outer Bottom - dealing with the underwater hull, stern gear and skin fittings.

• ​Sea Trial - putting the yacht through its paces to ensure all is well - or not.

• Other Survey Types - amongst others this  includes commercial craft surveys, damage  surveys, yacht pre-delivery inspections, yacht valuations and historic ship inspections.
